Internship (animal care)
Villa Bunterhund in Schwarzenberg offers professional daycare and boarding services for dogs in group settings. We also run a dog boutique with various types of food and accessories.
We are looking for a committed young person who wishes to become an animal caretaker to start an unpaid 1-year internship in animal care immediately or by arrangement. The practical experience gained with us will be a significant help in finding an apprenticeship in this field.
What to expect:
- Supervising, caring for, engaging, and feeding daycare and boarding dogs
- Observing the behavior of the dog group
- Cleaning the facility, kennels, and dog rooms
- Various manual tasks
- Assisting in the dog grooming salon and dog boutique
What you bring:
- Completed schooling (9 years)
- Interest & passion for dogs and their needs
- Desire to train as an animal caretaker after completing the internship
- Willingness to work in a group of up to 40 dogs
- Willingness to work irregular hours (weekends, half-days)
- Readiness to help and learn
- Physical & psychological resilience
- Positive, communicative demeanor
- Reliability and conscientiousness
